We headed out out on vacation, we were meeting friends on Block Island, RI Sunday
August 23rd, planned to stay until Thursday and then drive back. On the
way out and back we made some interesting stops, the first was at the USAF
Museum on the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. We spent the day looking
at planes. Pierce was most interesting in the things dangling off the planes
to keep you from walking into the edges |

Sunday afternoon while we were waiting for everyone to get there, we went to the SE lighthouse, we all climbed to the top and looked out.

We spent a lot of time trying to convince Pierce it was time to get in his car seat to go...
|
Once we got to Block Island we did lots of things, Monday we went to the beach,
Mom and Dad spent time flying a kite while Aunt Kate and Uncle Charley watched
Pierce, then Pierce got to get his toes wet |

We stopped at the Brown Cemetery in Donegal, PA on the way out and the way home (to do rubbings of the things Mom couldn't read on the way out) Pierce was awake for the second stop, the headstone is William Fligor, Pierce's 4 x Great-Grandfather

Steve, Pierce and Debbie Fligor. On the way home we stopped for lunch in Columbus, OH where Steve and his wife met us. William Fligor is Steve's 3 x Great-Uncle -- so we're all cousins!
